Alumni Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Supreme Chapter?
Supreme Chapter is held every two years and brings together students, alumni and friends from around the country.  During this time, Supreme Chapter elects a new governing National Council and sets the Fraternity's course for the future.  In addition to the business of the Fraternity, Supreme Chapter offers a variety of leadership development sessions and opportunities to meet and network with brothers from all chapters.

  2. Why should I go to Supreme Chapter?
Supreme Chapter offers invaluable fraternal networking and professional growth opportunities for both students and alumni members, an opportunity to reconnect with your fraternity brothers, and a trip to a top tiered city with your friends and family.

  3. When and where is the 56th Supreme Chapter?
Supreme Chapter will be held at the Marriott Magnificent Mile, in Chicago Illinois, July 26-29, 2018.

  4. What happens at Supreme Chapter?
Supreme Chapter includes legislative sessions, leadership sessions, spouse activities, networking/mentoring time, Supreme Banquet and a variety of other social activities.  Alumni and their guests may take advantage of as much or as little of the scheduled offerings as they wish.  A full schedule can be found on the Schedule page of the Supreme Chapter website.

  5. Can I bring my spouse/partner/friend/family members?
    We welcome all guests.

  1. How much does it cost to attend Supreme Chapter?
The alumni registration fee is $100, and the guest registration fee is $50.  All events are charged on an a la carte basis; however, legislative and leadership development sessions are complimentary.  All meal events and offsite events have a cost associated with them.

  2. Why is there a registration fee?
Registration fees help pay for soft costs of convention execution such as travel, marketing, printing, speaker expenses, A/V, room rentals, etc.  A la carte event prices do not include a mark-up; in fact, many are priced below actual cost.

  1. What is the hotel room rate?
The room rate at the Chicago Marriott on the Magnificent Mile is $189 plus tax per night.   The room rate is per room per night, not per attendee. Our discounted room rate is only good until our block is met or until July 12, 2018, whichever comes first.

  2. Do I book my own hotel room?
Alumni and friends are responsible for booking their own room and may do so via Online Reservations

  3. Does the hotel offer parking?
Pi Kappa Phi has negotiated a discounted self-parking rate of $27 per day at the hotel.

  4. I want to share a room with someone, can we split the cost?
Yes-you and your roommate must book your room together to be in the same room directly through the hotel.  Cost splitting will be arranged directly with your roommate or the hotel.  If you do not have a roommate but would like one, you can indicate that on your pre-registration or by emailing Carrie Clifford (director of alumni engagement).

  5. Will I earn Marriott Customer loyalty points with the group rate?
Yes. Make sure to share your rewards number directly with the hotel when making your reservation if you'd like to receive these
